TRON will topple Ethereum next year, here's why
527/5000 Bitcoin developer, known as Udi Wertheimer, recently announced his prediction about the future of Ethereum and TRON, saying that TRON will overtake Ethereum in about a year. Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap and one of the most important cryptocurrency projects ever invented. It brings back the era of second generation blockchains, creating the first ecosystem of decentralized applications (DApps), and becoming the first smart contract platform.
TRON THE ETHEREUM SWITCH FOR A YEAR?
Along the way, however, Ethereum saw a number of competitors emerge, and while most of them disappeared as the years passed, some followed closely. TRON today is one of the main competitors to the project, and according to Bitcoin developer Udi Wertheimer, TRON could even topple Ethereum in 2020.

Naturally, this seems like a pretty bold statement. However, Wertheimer made this prediction after hearing TRON CEO and founder Justin Sun discuss a new partnership between TRON and Poloniex.
Sun mentioned many plans for collaboration between his project and the exchange, such as list of additional assets, etc. However, he also claims that some additional partnerships - which he cannot immediately disclose - will also be coming in the near future.
Wertheimer also claims that TRON boasts faster development, better censorship resistance, and greater transactions than the largest altcoin.
POLONIEX CAN BE TRUSTED?
Justin Sun is quite famous for his important announcements and hype, which is why so many people have been skeptical. Also, a lot of people don't care about Poloniex anymore, after the incident more than half a year ago, when Poloniex allegedly took 1800 BTC from its customers and didn't return them money.

As for the future, Sun has announced that Poloniex will begin offering additional TRC-10 and TRC-20 coins. Plans like these are what makes Wertheimer believe TRON will overtake Ethereum in the coming year.
